Structure and bonding in materials; crystallography; point and space groups; reciprocal space and diffraction; amorphous, molecular, and polymeric structures; implications of structure and symmetry in determining material properties.Prerequisites: Undergraduate-level working knowledge of calculus, trigonometry, and linear algebra.
