Course Description

This course introduces interdisciplinary approaches to creative practice in three and four dimensions. Students will explore sculptural processes and object-based 3D practices, such as woodworking, as well as time-based 4D media, including video and sound. The class combines group critiques, lectures, artist talks, and discussions of contemporary art readings. Projects will make use of multiple studios in the McMurtry Building, offering access to the wood shop, media labs, and installation rooms, with technical instruction provided for each space.
