Candidates for the PhD degree in other departments who elect a minor in Communication must complete a minimum of 20 units of graduate courses in the Department of Communication, including three theory or research methods courses. A representative of the department examines them. In consultation with the individual student, a department advisor determines the particular communication theory and methods courses.
