The PhD Minor in Iberian and Latin American Cultures aims to develop knowledge and skills that complement a PhD student’s primary field. This is achieved through completing graduate-level coursework in Iberian and Latin American Cultures.

Completion requirement
Stanford PhD students wishing to earn a minor in Iberian and Latin American Cultures must complete 25 units, with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above, selected from courses numbered 200 or higher. For more information, students should speak with the ILAC Department Director and develop an approved course of study.
NOTE: All requirements for the minor must be completed before a student enters Terminal Graduate Registration (TGR) status.
