Course Description

VISITING: Closed to visitors. TYPE OF CLERKSHIP: Required. DESCRIPTION: Pediatrics 300A is an eight-week core clerkship. Students spend four weeks on an inpatient service and four weeks in a variety of ambulatory settings. The clerkship provides an introduction to a wide range of clinical problems and equips students with the basic skills needed to work with children and families. The overarching goal of the clerkship is to enable students to bring the core values and principles of pediatrics to the care of all patients, across disciplines. PREREQUISITES: None. PERIODS AVAILABLE: 1-12, full-time for 8 weeks, 16 students per period. REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS: Where: will be sent prior to start of clerkship; Time: TBA. CALL CODE: 2 - one weekend day. OTHER FACULTY: Staff. LOCATION: LPCH, SCVMC, KPMC.
