Program Learning Outcomes

The Stanford Arts Institute expects graduates of the Honors in the Arts program to be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes. These learning outcomes are used in evaluating students and the Institute's undergraduate program. Students are expected to:

  1. Create and execute an interdisciplinary arts project that positions creative practice as a mode of research;

  2. Communicate key aspects of their creative research to an interdisciplinary audience;

  3. Demonstrate competence in goal setting, self-assessment, time management, and dealing with creative setbacks;

  4. Analyze and critique art works in a variety of forms, media and genres;

  5. Identify and communicate the feedback methods that best support their creative practice.
