Program Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes are used in evaluating students and the department’s undergraduate program. The department expects undergraduate majors in the program to be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Define a project with clear goals that meets a societal or technical need.
Predict how engineering interventions affect complex systems.
Utilize standards and measurements in the context of systems engineering.
Analyze experimental data and mathematical models of complex systems.
Develop and use computational tools for the analysis or design of engineering systems.
Contribute effectively as a member or leader of a team.
Consider the ethical aspects and potential societal impacts of tools and technology.
Communicate effectively, with both experts and non-experts, regarding technical project work.
