Program Learning Outcomes

The MA and the MS degrees are conferred upon fulfillment of degree requirements and by recommendation of the Graduate School of Education faculty. Depending on the specialization (please see below), students must complete a minimum of 45-51 units at Stanford and 23-31 units in the Graduate School of Education (EDUC units) to receive a master’s degree in Education. All master’s students must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better in courses applicable to the degree. Master’s students should obtain detailed program requirements from the Master’s Handbook.
