Program Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes are used in evaluating students and the undergraduate program. The program expects undergraduate majors in the program to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of the histories of feminist, gender, sexuality, and/or LGBT/queer social, political, legal, intellectual, and cultural movements in cross-cultural and global perspectives

  • Understanding of how social hierarchies related to gender and sexuality shaper and are shaped with understandings of  race, ethnicity, nationality, ability, age, class, or other concepts of difference and how these categories have developed historically, cross-culturally, and transnationally

  • Knowledge and comprehension of feminist, gender, sexuality, and/or LGBT/queer theories and methods for social, historical, literary, political, cultural, or scientific analysis

  • Skill in making and communicating feminist, gender, sexuality, and/or LGBT/queer analyses of data, texts, and arguments Competence in applying theory to practical experience

  • Competence in applying theory to practical experience
