Program Overview
The Management Science and Engineering PhD Minor is intended to complement a PhD in engineering or social science, providing breadth in computational social science, decision and risk analysis, operations research, organizations, technology and entrepreneurship, policy and strategy, and quantitative finance.

Completion requirement
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Earn at least 20 credits
20 units of MS&E courses, or courses cross-listed as MS&E courses, numbered 200 or higher.
AND
Complete at least 2 of the following:
Within the overall 20 units for the PhD Minor, there must be a minimum of two MS&E 300-level courses (doctoral courses).
AND
Within the overall 20 units for the PhD Minor, there must be a minimum of 16 letter-graded units, with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 in these courses.
AND
The courses approved for the PhD Minor should form a coherent program, and include a breadth of courses from across the department.
